The Royal Commonwealth Society Cyprus Branch signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Commonwealth Students’ Welfare Group of India (RCS branch in India).
The MoU includes several activities among the Cyprus and Indian Youth in topics related to the priorities of the Commonwealth. Particularly, the MoU includes the India-Cyprus Commonwealth Youth Project (ICCYP). ICCYP would consist of 10-12 Young Delegates – 5-6 from RCS India and 5-6 from RCS Cyprus. The selected members/delegates would be together in both the countries to work on the selected community/business setup models project for 6- 8 Days. This project is selected to reflect the key priorities of the commonwealth including human rights, youth empowerment, gender equality, disability, democracy, local governance and women in development. This project is designed to enable delegates and participants to explore jointly and through practical experience, the various issues relating to democracy developing locally and in other parts of the Commonwealth.
The MoU was signed by the Director of the RCS Cyprus, Marinos Papaioakeim and the President & Youth Chairman of the CSWGI Hari Om Dahiya.
